The greatest hunting over here is the elk-hunting which starts the first Monday in September and the season is open till 31st of January. But you have to be a part of a hunting team. For bear hunting it is about the same thing.

You may hunt smaller animals and birds in private, but you have to follow the regulations which you get from the local hunting association. There are also different times when hunting is permitted and the time may vary from year to year.
